Prioritise Domestic Chipmakers, Intel CEO Tells US: Nikkei

Having more domestic companies making computer chips would give the country more control over intellectual property, the executive argued

The US should invest more in American chipmakers rather than their Asian rivals such as TSMC and Samsung, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said on Wednesday, Nikkei Asia reported.

Gelsinger said during a speech at the Fortune Brainstorm Tech conference in Half Moon Bay, California, that domestic companies would give the country more control of intellectual property.
