Hollywood Still Grovelling to China – Los Angeles Times

Studios got to access an enormous and fast-growing market, and China’s citizens got to enjoy America’s blockbusters

For decades, Hollywood executives portrayed their relationship with China as being mutually beneficial, the Los Angeles Times reported. Studios got to access an enormous and fast-growing market, and China’s citizens got to enjoy America’s blockbusters.

And after decades of Hollywood studios kowtowing to an authoritarian government, it’s become increasingly clear that China is gaining an advantage in that fight, while using weapons supplied by America.
