Mercedes Teams Up with Tencent on Self-Drive Cars – Pandaily

The alliance will feature a joint laboratory, boosting the ability of Mercedes to provide self driving cars to the Chinese market, Pandaily said.

Tencent Cloud Computing Beijing Ltd. and Mercedes Benz-owned Daimler Greater China Ltd. are collaborating on the development of self-driving vehicles, Pandaily reported.

The alliance will feature a joint laboratory, research and innovation, the report said. The collaboration will enable Mercedes to utilise big data, artificial intelligence and cloud computing to speed up the delivery of autonomous driving to the Chinese market, it added.
