Beijing on High Covid Alert After Cases Found – SCMP

Officials in Beijing are on a “Covid-19 alert” and plan to test parts of the community in the Chinese capital after 15 new cases were found on Saturday, paper says

Officials in Beijing are on a “high Covid-19 alert” and are looking to test “some sections of the community” in the Chinese capital after 15 new cases were found on Saturday, the South China Morning Post said on Sunday.

Deputy head of the Beijing Centre for Disease Prevention and Control Pang Xinghuo said they started to find “hidden” local transmissions about a week ago, among different groups – schools, tour groups and families.
