Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways plans to hire 4,000 staff, including 700 pilots and 2,000 cabin crew, by the end of 2023 as part of an ambitious “growth mode and growth mentality”, the South China Morning Post reported.
Chief executive Augustus Tang announced the recruitment drive almost two years after the company underwent a restructuring, during which it closed down regional brand Cathay Dragon and laid off thousands of employees.
