As chairman at Tata Sons, the holding entity of the Tata group of companies, N. Chandrasekaran chairs the board of several firms in the conglomerate, but his appointment as head of Air India is somewhat different, Business Standard reported.
As chairman of the recently acquired airline, Chandrasekaran will steer the carrier until a chief executive is found, the report added.
