Chicken, Egg Sector Faces Probe: The Edge Malaysia

The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) has set up a special task force to investigate any competition-related issues involved in sharply rising prices of chicken and eggs, The Edge Malaysia reported.

MyCC said it would use its powers to investigate any cartel or abuse of dominant power or monopoly activities. “This includes the imposition of maximum penalties and other stern actions to ensure that this repression is halted.”
