China and US Soar Ahead in Flying Car Patent Race – Nikkei

The Japanese market for the technology is forecast to expand to about 700 billion yen ($6 billion) in 2030, the report added, citing PwC Consulting

China and the US account for the lion’s share of the 1,106 patent applications for flying cars submitted between 2012 and 2018, Nikkei reported, citing a report by the Japan Patent Office. Chinese nationals submitted 444 applications compared with 399 from the United States.

The Japanese market for the technology is forecast to expand to about 700 billion yen ($6 billion) in 2030, the report added, citing PwC Consulting.
