China, Asean Agree to Deepen Economic Integration: Xinhua

Beijing and 10-nation group pledge to explore economic corridor development after Brunei-hosted meeting

China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations on Tuesday agreed to step up economic cooperation, according to a Xinhua report.

Beijing and Asean pledged early implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement at the meeting, which was hosted by Brunei.

The parties stressed the need to strengthen cooperation by exploring “the development of economic corridors, as well as economic, trade, and industrial parks”.
