China Firms Step up Capital Raising in Europe – China Daily

The latest firms to announce plans for capital raisings on European bourses include Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co. and Eastroc Beverage, China Daily reported.

China’s companies have stepped up the issuance of global depositary receipts (GDRs) on European bourses in recent months, China Daily reported.

The latest firms to announce plans for capital raisings include market leaders Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co Ltd and Eastroc Beverage, which issued $500 million in GDRs on the Swiss exchange, the story said. At least 13 A-share firms have announced or launched GDR issues on the London and Swiss stock exchanges so far this year, the story said, citing research by China International Capital Corp.
