Last year, the per capita gross national income (GNI) of China grew by a fifth, which is close to the World Bank’s benchmark for a high-income country, Nikkei reported, citing government data.
China’s GNI jumped 20% in nominal terms to $12,438 per capita. The World Bank has set $12,695 as the threshold for a high-income nation.
