Prices of carbon dioxide equivalents in China reached a four-month high on Monday, as companies rushed to buy carbon credits before the first compliance period comes to an end, Caixin reported.
The price jumped 5.4% from the previous day to close at 49.18 yuan ($7.71) per tonne on Monday, the highest since ending the day at 50.20 yuan on August 24, according to official figures.
