China’s Antitrust Regulator Preparing to Fine Meituan $1bn – WSJ

China’s antitrust regulator is planning to impose a fine of about $1 billion on Meituan for allegedly abusing its dominant market position, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing unnamed sources.

The food delivery company will also be required to revamp its operations with the penalty likely to be announced in coming weeks, the paper said. Full report: Wall Street Journal.
