China’s ByteDance Exits Indian News Outlet Dailyhunt – Mint

Chinese investor ByteDance has sold it entire stake in VerSe Innovation, the platform that operates Indian news aggregator Dailyhunt, Mint reported, citing people aware of the development.

The Chinese company sold its stake to Canadian investors during VerSe’s fundraising round last month, the report said, adding that ByteDance’s exit from VerSe comes at a time New Delhi’s stance on Chinese investments in Indian companies is not clear.
