China’s FAW to Sell $100,000 Electric SUV in Japan – Nikkei

Automaker initially plans to roll out a hybrid version of the sport utility vehicle in Japan with the electric model set to follow next summer

China’s FAW Group is targeting Japan’s market for electric cars, Nikkei Asia has learned, as the state-owned company gears up to sell its high-end electric sport utility vehicle in the country next year.

The automaker initially plans to roll out a hybrid version of the SUV in Japan under its luxury Hongqi brand, with the electric model set to follow next summer.
