(ATF) China’s futures market in July continued to report double-digit growth in both trading volume and turnover, industry data showed on August 3.
Trading volumes totalled 567.65 million lots last month on turnover of 45.4 trillion yuan ($6.5tn). Both figures edged up 37% and 56% year-on-year, respectively, according to the China Futures Association.
In the first seven months of 2020, trading volumes were 3.089 billion lots, an increase of 44%.
Meanwhile, the January-July period saw a total turnover of 211tn yuan, up 34%.
In July, the China Financial Futures Exchange was the top bourse in terms of turnover, standing at 15.2tn yuan, up 147%.
