China’s Top EV Battery Makers Lose Their Market Share – SCMP

BYD’s market share dropped from 25.2% in July to 21% in August, while smaller maker Farasis took a 2.3% share, up from 0.5%, South China Morning Post said.

China’s leading electric vehicle battery makers lost market share to smaller rivals in August as competition heats up in the fast-growing sector, South China Morning Post reported.

BYD’s market share dropped from 25.2% in July to 21% in August, said the report, with Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited’s share declining from 47.2% to 46.8%. Smaller maker Farasis took a 2.3% share, up from 0.5%.
