Chinese Tech Giants Chase Carbon Neutrality Goals – Xinhua

Research shows that by 2040 information and communications technology companies will account for 14% of global emissions, up from 1.5% in 2018

China’s leading tech companies have been making efforts to reduce their carbon footprint, aligning with the government’s pledge to peak the country’s carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060, Xinhua reported.

Research shows that by 2040 information and communications technology companies and outlets will account for 14% of global emissions, up from 1.5% in 2018.
