A former employee of Dai-ichi Life Insurance is suspected of fraudulently acquiring about 38 million yen ($334,000) from an elderly customer, The Japan Times reported.
The insurer’s announcement came on top of a series of scandals involving the company since last year, including the alleged fraudulent acquisition of more than 1.9 billion yen by another former employee.
