Delhi Says Kashmir Jobless Rate Falling – All India Radio

Finance minister says in 2016 it was 20% and by late February this year it was 13.2%, thanks in part to the removal of ‘discriminatory laws’

Indian finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the unemployment rate has come down in the Jammu and Kashmir territory, All India Radio reported.

She said that in 2016 it was 20% and by late February this year it was 13.2%. Sitharaman said with the removal of Article 370, discriminatory laws were removed from the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
