Disgraced Businessman’s Sentence Quashed – NZ Herald

The 84-year-old former corporate raider’s legal team argued that he should be permitted to serve the remainder of his sentence at home

Disgraced New Zealand businessman Ron Brierley can be released from prison later this month after his lawyers argued the former billionaire’s health was rapidly deteriorating behind bars, The New Zealand Herald reported.

The 84-year-old former corporate raider’s legal team told the New South Wales Court of Criminal Appeal in Sydney their client should be permitted to serve the remainder of his sentence for possessing child abuse material at home.
