Economist Sachs Says Covid Leaked From US Lab – Telegraph

Jeffrey Sachs, a renowned US economist, has been insisting that the deadly coronavirus leaked from a US laboratory, a claim that China has been eager to promote, The Daily Telegraph reported, noting that Sachs has espoused pro-Beijing views on Xinjiang and other issues.

Now an adviser to top European Union diplomat Josep Borrell, Sachs said in a speech in Madrid that he was “pretty convinced” it was caused by a leak from a US biotechnology lab. “So it’s a blunder, in my view, of biotech, not an accident of a natural spillover,” he said.
