More than a dozen electric two-wheelers are being developed by Hero, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor and Honda. These firms have pledged over $1 billion in total for the rollout of EVs over the next five years

Hero MotoCorp plans to launch Taiwanese Gogoro's battery swapping network in India, the report said.

 

India’s leading manufacturers of two-wheelers are gearing up to tap growing demand for clean vehicles, The Economic Times reported on Monday.

Hero MotoCorp is ready to roll out its first e-scooter – developed at its facility in Germany – by March. It is also tying up to launch Taiwanese Gogoro’s battery swapping network in India, the report said.

More than a dozen electric two-wheel models are under development at Hero, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor and Honda, which have cumulatively pledged over a billion dollars to roll out electric vehicles in the next five years, the report added.
