India’s leading manufacturers of two-wheelers are gearing up to tap growing demand for clean vehicles, The Economic Times reported on Monday.
Hero MotoCorp is ready to roll out its first e-scooter – developed at its facility in Germany – by March. It is also tying up to launch Taiwanese Gogoro’s battery swapping network in India, the report said.
More than a dozen electric two-wheel models are under development at Hero, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor and Honda, which have cumulatively pledged over a billion dollars to roll out electric vehicles in the next five years, the report added.
