Indonesia Asks Elderly to Stay Put As Omicron Rages – Globe

Data from the Ministry of Health showed more than 5.7 million people aged 60 years or over had yet to receive any Covid vaccine by Saturday (February 5).

Indonesia has asked people aged 60 years and above not to leave the house for the next month to avoid severe illness or death caused by the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, which is spreading at a breakneck pace and is expected to peak in three or four weeks, the Jakarta Globe reported.

Data from the Ministry of Health showed more than 5.7 million people aged 60 years or over had yet to receive any vaccine for Covid-19 as of Saturday (February 5, 2022).
