Indonesia Miner Adaro to Build Aluminium Smelter – Jakarta Post

Coalmining giant Adaro Energy plans to build a $728 million aluminium smelter that will run on electricity from renewable sources as it seeks to tap into the growing global supply chain for green-labelled products, The Jakarta Post reported.

The listed company said on Thursday that subsidiary Adaro Aluminium Indonesia would build the smelter at the planned Green Industrial Park in Bulungan, North Kalimantan. The facility will process alumina into aluminium.
