Indonesian delivery company SiCepat Ekspres has laid off hundreds of employees even though the company’s business is growing, sparking a social media outcry over lack of severance payments, Tempo reported.
At least 365 couriers had been terminated, SiCepat said, adding it had cut 0.6% of its 60,000 employees whose performance did not meet company standards. They would receive severance pay, the company said in a U-turn.
