Laos Reports Garment Worker Shortage – Vientiane Times

Lao Garment Association says greatest need is in special economic zones, while factories in Vientiane have also reported shortages

The Laotian garment industry requires at least 5,000 factory workers this year, with both skilled and inexperienced people needed, the Vientiane Times reported.

The Association of Lao Garment Industry‘s president, Xaybandith Rasphone, said the greatest need is in special economic zones, while factories in Vientiane have also reported shortages.
