Poor Urged to Shift From Wheat-Based Diet – Fiji Times

A sharp increase in flour prices – exacerbated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine – is anticipated to have a great impact on low-income earners, Fiji Council of Social Services (FCOSS) executive director Vani Catanasiga told the Fiji Times.

People should start looking at “healthier food options”. “FCOSS anticipates that this increase will greatly impact families given that flour is a key ingredient,” Catanasiga said.
