Put US Jet Fighters ‘Closer to China’ – Air Force Magazine

Admiral John C Aquilino told the Air Force Magazine that the fifth-generation F-22 and F-35 fighters “are critically important to the ability to deliver deterrence”

Washington should base its most advanced jet fighters closer to China, according to the head of US Indo-Pacific Command Admiral John C Aquilino, Air Force Magazine reported.

He said the fifth-generation F-22 and F-35 fighters “are critically important to the ability to deliver deterrence” and should be stationed west of the international date line, nearer to China.
