(ATF) – Retail sales by SAIC General Motors Wuling topped 130,000 in March, becoming the top domestic auto company in March, Beijing Business reported on Monday.
At present, the opening rate of the company’s China-wide terminal distributors has reached 98%, and the sales volume has gradually increased, reaching more than 5,000 vehicles per day during a seven-day period in March. Of those, more than 6,000 vehicles were sold in three days.
SAIC GM Wuling is a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors, and Liuzhou Wuling Motors.
The report said the Liuzhou, Guanxi-based firm’s overseas business is still growing.
In the first quarter, total exports of complete vehicles and KD components exceeded 20,752 units, up 254% year-on-year. The overseas market achieved a “good start”, the report said.
