Korean tech giant Samsung has revealed a cybersecurity breach exposed the personal information of some customers in the United States.
Samsung Electronics Co said the breach happened in late July but customers’ social security numbers and credit card numbers were not affected.
Instead it admitted names, contact and demographic details, dates of birth and product registration data were compromised.

It was not immediately clear how many customers were affected. Samsung did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
