Singapore Court Freezes ‘Bored Ape’ NFT – The Times

The High Court in the city-state granted a worldwide injunction to a man who had owned the Bored Ape NFT, which he used as collateral for a loan

A Singapore court ruling has frozen the sale and ownership transfer by a “metaverse personality” of a rare non-fungible token (NFT) listed on the ethereum blockchain, The Times reported in London. Lawyers at Withers said the ruling was unique in relation to a civil law dispute.

The High Court granted a worldwide injunction to a man who had owned the Bored Ape NFT, which he used as collateral for a loan, the paper reported. The popular images have been purchased by celebrities including singers Madonna and Justin Bieber, rapper Snoop Dogg and footballer Neymar, The Times noted.
