Singapore Growing Target for Ransomware Attacks: ST

City-state shoots up the rankings based on targeted attacks by ransomware from 44th in the first six months of 2019 to number 11 in January to June this year

Hackers involved in ransomware attacks are increasingly focusing on Singapore, the Straits Times reported citing a report by cybersecurity firm Trend Micro.

The city-state shot up the rankings – based on targeted attacks by ransomware – from 44th in the first six months of 2019 to number 21 in the first half of last year and rose further to number 11 in January to June this year, the report said.
