Southeast Asia is among regions hit the hardest by climate change and is at risk of losing settlements and infrastructure to the rise in sea levels, the Straits Times reported, citing a study.

If global warming exceeds 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial times, the impact of climate change could become more severe and some will be irreversible, the report said, citing the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change study.
