South Korea Faces Biggest Energy Price Rise Since 1980 – Nikkei

South Korea faces its biggest electricity price rise in over 40 years as a weakened currency piles pressure on manufacturers, Nikkei Asia reported.

Korea Electric power raised its base electric rate by 17% for industrial customers and 6.8% for residential users, which the report said was the largest increase since 1980.
