Thai Judicial Panel Upholds Watana Sentence – PBS World

Watana was found guilty of malfeasance in office and 10 other offences in connection with a housing project about 16 years ago

A judicial panel of Thailand’s Supreme has upheld the 99-year prison term imposed on former minister of social development and human security Watana Muangsook, Thai PBS World reported.

Watana was found guilty of malfeasance in office and 10 other offences in connection with a housing project about 16 years ago. He will serve 50 years, the longest period allowed.
