UK banking grandees Lord Rothschild and Sir Simon Robey have backed a start-up that invests in Chinese tech companies, despite growing tensions about cross-border investments into the country, The Daily Telegraph reported.

The two are among investors in nr2, a London-based search engine that discovers information about start-ups in South Korea and China. It works with companies including L’Oréal and Pernod Ricard to help spot trends.
