UK Political Chaos Hits India’s Tata Steel – The Times

Tata, which has already sold an English steelworks to a Chinese company, is seeking taxpayer support to keep the Tata Steel Port Talbot plant open

India’s Tata Group said the British government’s political chaos over the resignation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson is delaying a decision on the future of its loss-making steelworks in Wales, The Times reported.

The group, which has already sold an English steelworks to a Chinese company, is seeking taxpayer support to keep the Tata Steel Port Talbot plant open, but said Kwasi Kwarteng, UK business secretary, told them the next leader would make the call.
