The UK government is likely to intervene to prevent China General Nuclear (CGN), a Chinese state-owned enterprise, from building a nuclear power plant project due to risks to national security, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Kwasi Kwarteng, Britain’s business secretary, is said to be pushing to end the use of Beijing-linked companies in critical infrastructure, removing CGN from the Sizewell C project in Suffolk in which it has a 20% stake.
