VW to Boost China EV Capacity to 1m by 2023 – Nikkei

Volkswagen will be able to build as many as 1 million electric vehicles (EVs) a year in China in 2023 amid an expansion that will also bolster its development and sales networks there, Nikkei Asia reported.

Ralf Brandstaetter, CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, would relocate to Beijing as the German carmaker tries to replicate its success with petrol vehicles in the country’s cut-throat EVs market.
