Wheelock Properties Sells Priciest Flat in Asia: SCMP

Expected reopening of boundary with mainland China after months of pandemic-related closure is likely to boost the city’s real estate market

A Hong Kong flat has set an Asian price record, The South China Morning Post reported.

The 4,500 square foot apartment in Wheelock Properties’ luxury residential Mount Nicholson at The Peak project and three car parking spaces were sold for HK$639.8 million ($82 million), or HK$140,800 per square foot.

Analysts said an expected reopening of Hong Kong’s boundary with mainland China is likely to boost Hong Kong’s real estate market. The buyer was not identified.
